COVID Update

1/14/21:  This is to inform you that two students at Valley View Charter Montessori have tested positive for COVID-19. We have informed those that were believed to have been in Close Contact. Given the circumstances of the case, our District Nurse and Public Health have determined that the chance of the virus passing on to others, beyond those that were in Close Contact, is very low. A close contact is defined by the Department of Public Health as being within 6 ft. for 15 or more cumulative minutes with someone that has COVID-19. Based on the guidance from the El Dorado County Department of Public Health, there appears to be no further action needed at this time.

Please continue to monitor for Covid-like symptoms and stay home or keep students home for any influenza-like or cold-like illness. Review the symptoms decision tree before sending students back to school after any illness. Please contact your healthcare provider if you have any additional questions or concerns about your student’s health. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact me.  Here is the District Dashboard Link for further details.
