Transportation/Bus Info

Application and payment must be on file with the transportation office prior to students riding the bus.

The Buckeye Union Transportation Department provides stops throughout the Buckeye Union School District and ensures students are delivered in a safe and timely manner to school and home. These services are provided at low cost and some families may qualify for special assistance. Student use of our bus service is encouraged as it reduces traffic in our communities and at school sites. If you are attending Buckeye Union School District from outside its boundaries, you may access transportation services by dropping off at a convenient stop located within Buckeye's boundaries. Please contact the Transportation Department for details.

Steps to enroll your student for transportation:

  1. Fill out a school bus application (Pick up stop is for the AM, and Drop off stop is for the PM)
  2. Email the application to sgaither@buckeyeusd.org or jsimon@buckeyeusd.org, or mail it to P.O. Box 4768, El Dorado Hills, 95762
  3. Pay for your student's bus pass by either using MySchoolBucks or mailing in cash or a check to P.O. Box 4768, El Dorado Hills, 95762

Once we receive both an application and payment we will be able to process the bus pass.

Important Update on School Bus Transportation for the 2024-2025 School Year

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We want to inform you about some important changes to our school bus transportation for the upcoming school year. Due to a significant shortage of bus drivers, we have had to reduce the number of school bus stops.  We have explored all other solutions, but this adjustment is necessary to ensure we can still provide reliable transportation for as many students as possible.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

  1. Check Your Child’s Bus Stop: If you’ve already applied for bus transportation, please revisit the transportation website to verify that your child’s stop is still active.
  2. First Come, First Serve: Bus routes will fill up quickly and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. To secure a spot for your child on the bus, please complete the registration process as soon as possible.
  3. Explore Alternative Transportation: We encourage you to explore carpooling options or other means of transportation for your children.
  4. Ongoing Recruitment Efforts: We are actively recruiting and training new drivers to restore full service as soon as possible.

We understand this may cause inconvenience, and we are committed to supporting you through this transition. Your understanding and cooperation during this challenging time are greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact the Transportation Office at (530) 677-5023 or (916) 933-0398 ext. 1195.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Jessica Simon
