Superintendent's Welcome
To All Current and Future Members of the Buckeye Community:
As Superintendent of the Buckeye Union School District, I would like to welcome you. It has been my distinct honor to serve as Superintendent of Buckeye Union since July 2011, and I am proud to share that our District is among the highest-performing and best-resourced programs in the greater Sacramento Metropolitan area.
It is our mission to provide the highest quality educational program for all students so that they fulfill their innate potential, become lifelong learners, and contribute to society as responsible citizens.
In Buckeye Union, our highly professional and incredibly dedicated teachers, support staff, administrators, and School Board are focused on delivering the best public education experience available. Complementing our District's team are engaged parents and community members who support the District through volunteerism and fundraising. The collective efforts of our entire educational community have resulted in award-winning schools, which are leading our students to ever higher levels of college and career readiness.
Our programs are enhanced by a K-8th grade articulated science program, elementary physical education specialists, staffed libraries, elementary and middle school band, mental and behavioral health specialists, 1-to-1 computer device access, and well-designed intervention programs. Many extra-curricular activities exist including elementary and middle school sports, as well as STEAM opportunities and school garden programs.
As we look to the future, in a world that is becoming ever more complex and competitive, it is imperative that our public schools provide children with a well-rounded set of experiences that develop the body, mind, and spirit. In Buckeye Union, we strive for this every day and do so in partnership with parents and the community.
