Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

Each District and Charter School in the State of California is required to develop and annually update the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) following a process of educational partner engagement, needs assessment, goal setting, and progress monitoring. The resources supporting the plan come from the State of California and its Local Control Funding Formula for public schools, which accounts for approximately 88% of the District's annual funding.

Buckeye Union School District values meaningful input from students, families, staff, and the broader community as we develop our Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs). Each year, the District holds three LCAP Committee meetings, while our two charter schools also hold three committee meetings of their own. We gather student voice through annual LCAP meetings at every school site, with our middle schools meeting twice each year. Staff input is collected through spring meetings with BTA and CSEA representatives as well as an annual LCAP employee survey. Families and community members are invited to participate through the annual LCAP parent survey. Finally, before the LCAPs are approved, the District holds a public hearing to provide an additional opportunity for community review and input.
