About Our School
Camerado Springs strives to develop a community of inquiring lifelong learners through a rigorous curriculum. We offer challenging programs with high expectations that are based on student needs.
Our program encourages intercultural understanding and diversity in order to help create a more peaceful community as we prepare for an increasingly connected global society.
Camerado Springs Middle School is a candidate school* for the MYP. We are pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy - a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education - that we believe is important for our students. *Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes visit http://www.ibo.org. Our commitment is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers, and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.
Camerado students learn international mindedness by taking a world language class and learning from a global perspective. IB focuses on developing caring and open-minded students who take action to make the world a more peaceful place. CSMS provides a rigorous curriculum based on the California Content Standards, and we offer multiple opportunities for students to be successful. Classroom time is devoted to learning and instructional minutes are sacred. A variety of teaching strategies are used to engage student interest and address the unique learning style of each student, providing a deeper understanding of the curriculum. Whether students are interested in athletics, the arts, technology, or leadership, they will find an outlet for their talents. We are here to meet the needs of each student academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.
CSMS encourages its students to get involved and stay involved. We believe it is important to be connected to the school through positive relationships, a sense of community, and participation in extracurricular opportunities from the first day of school to the last. This is the message students will hear often.
Our staff recognizes the role they play in helping your children reach their full potential, and they do not take the responsibility lightly. We truly believe "it's all about the kids," and that all students can be successful. It's these beliefs that drive the work they do on a daily basis. Parent involvement is also vital to your children's success, and we ask that you continue to play an active role in their education.
Camerado is excited to open our doors to all families interested in an IB Education for their student(s). Registration information and enrollment packets will be available in the school office.
