In January 2008, Silva Valley classrooms were outfitted with Promethean computerized whiteboards. We are very proud that our staff and students have fully embraced this intereactive technology. The boards, connected to computers and projectors, allow teachers to access the Web in front of their whole class to illustrate a lesson; play video clips of science experiments, for example, or find a map to show exactly where a battle took place for a history lesson. Students are engaged and drawn into their learning as they perhaps measure angles with a virtual protractor. We are finding that what we can do with our Promethean Boards is limitless! We appreciate the support from our community.
