2012/2013 Enrollment for Buckeye Union School District
Buckeye Union School District will begin registering students for the 2012/2013 school year on February 7, 2012 and will continue enrolling students throughout the school year. Registration forms will be available in school offices beginning on January 30, 2012 and can picked up there by families with proof of residence or evidence of an approved Interdistrict Transfer Agreement. The age requirement for enrollment in kindergarten has changed in California. Please click here for a detailed explanation of these changes. A child who resides in Buckeye Union School District and will be five years of age on or before November 1, 2012, may register for Kindergarten or Junior Kindergarten. A child who will be five years of age after November 1, 2012 but prior to March 1, 2013 can register only for Junior Kindergarten. Children whose 5th birthday will fall between November 2, 2012 and December 2, 2012 will have first priority to Jr. Kindergarten placement. Children who will turn five after December 2, 2012 but before March 1, 2013 will be placed in Jr. Kindergarten on a space-available basis. Your child's birth certificate, immunization record and proof of residency will be required when you register your child. If you are not a resident of the Buckeye Union School District and you wish to enroll your child for the first time, you will need to complete an Interdistrict Transfer form (see link below) and submit the completed form to your home district. If your home district approves the transfer, the form will be forwarded to the Buckeye District Office where it will be reviewed and considered for approval. You will be contacted as to whether or not your request has been approved.
Any child who attended Buckeye Union School District in 2011/12 on an Interdistrict Transfer is required to renew the application or employment verification by February 7, 2012. If you do not do this, you will need to contact the District Office to determine if space is available for your child.
