Welcome to Buckeye Elementary School’s web site! We hope you enjoy browsing the site and that you find a wealth of information about our school.
Buckeye Elementary School, home of the Bobcats, is over 50 years old in a district that recently celebrated its 150th anniversary. Although we are the oldest school in our community, we have consistently maintained a commitment to innovative instruction and excellence in education. At Buckeye Elementary School you will have many opportunities to learn, make new friends, and experience many educational activities. Our staff is eager to work with students and their families to ensure educational excellence. We believe that the learning capabilities of students are enhanced when home and school work together.
A recently passed general obligation bond has provided our school with the latest in educational technology. We are particularly proud of a full computer lab, and internet connected computers, document cameras and Promethean interactive boards in every classroom. Our lovely facilities include a new library and district kitchen, additional portable classrooms, and updated pathways and landscaping. All of this adds to an exciting learning and teaching environment.
Unique programs at Buckeye Elementary School include targeted assistance for Title I students, Bobcat RAP (Raising Achievement for all Program), full inclusion, and preschool. Underachieving students receive additional support through on-site tutoring provided by our School Site Council.
At Buckeye Elementary School, the sky is the limit! We believe in providing an environment that encourages each child to make maximum learning progress. Our mission supports students, staff, parents, and our community working together to help students be the best they can be.
